Ghana and Crystal Palace forward Jordan Aye has been ranked the best performing African in Europe for the period of February-March by the CIES Football Observatory.
Ayew, 28, is the highest ranked African in the list compiled by the research firm who use a unique approach to rate players on a match-by-match basis by taking into account the pitch production and efficiency at both individual and collective level.
Jordan Ayew rank 7th on the overall list, and is ahead of the likes of Mohammed Salah, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, Riyad Mahrez and Sadio Mane.
Ayew has been impressive for Crystal Palace over this stretch after firing back to back match winners before the league got suspended. His goal scoring form has seen him draw level with Ghana legend Tony Yeboah as the top scoring Ghanaians in the English top flight.
According to CIES, Jordan Ayew tally of 94 points as put together using data from OptaPro indicating that the values presented refer to the averages for matches played at big-5 league level over four different time periods: last week, last month, last 3 months and last 6 months.
